We start with a knight, and we end with a knight. The first one is filled with impatient bravado and a rather over-powering personality; the second knight wears the armor of hero and protector.

What lies between them?

Upon this dark and craggy landscape, there is great indecision, there are hopes that are dashed, transitions and important changes that never materialize, there are lies, and deceit, and ulterior motives cowering beneath the surface.

And then, at the end of all this...

There is the knight of cups, coming through with a magickal offer. A fairy tale ending is implied and you can almost hear the narrator in a complacent quiet mildly happy tone, "And they lived happily ever after."

1) If the first knight (swords) is actually your knight and he suddenly changes his tune to offer you a proposal, or a show of commitment, with a flowery speech and a gentlemen's hand, do not fall for this ploy. He has not changed. It is a facade.

2) If the second knight (cups) is actually a second person that has come marching up to this moment in your life, completely disembodied from the frenzied Knight of swords, go with this one, the Knight of cups, he'll take you away from the first knight and all of his crazy manic energy... forever.
